Having gone there a few times before the BEST way to enjoy it is on the bed of a pickup truck. Being close to the animals and having them stick their heads in to "say hello" is great fun. Bring plenty of feed, a couple of comfy lawnchairs and have fun. Of course it helps to have a designated driver who jumps out at the most inopportune times to take pictures :)
