Whenever I sit at the computer and read other peoples' blogs and spend some time looking at pretty pictures listening to music makes things a lot more enjoyable.
I listen to music in the car, on the computer - but strangely enough very few other places. I have an ipod but hardly use it. We have a stereo in the house but that stays off most of the time, too.
Not sure why I only listen in the car and while on the computer, but I do appreciate the ease of iTunes when it come to listening to music. Especially enjoy their radio streams from all over the world - lets face it Killeen, TX radio is just not that great :(
When the work is very mundane a "mindless" beat helps get it over with a little quicker. A nice side effect is that all the other noise around you can be drowned out with the headphones. This works until the wife comes hollering since you are not answering ;)
