Venice with all the gear :)

We are having a wonderful time in Europe and one of the many things worth mentioning was spending some time in Venice, Italy.  This is a great city to visit, if you manage to avoid the crowds.  Coming here during May is definitely beneficial as far as the crowds are not too bad yet, the heat is still bearable, the humidity is down, and the winter rain is gone :)

This is especially critical if you are taking your kids along.  Combining bringing your kids and photographing this wonderful place is tricky at best.

I managed to bring the pro gear, however, using it all proved to be a challenge.  A quick snap here or there was all that was possible if I did not want to irritate my wife too much :)

Here is a picture of me on the St Marco square, see all the non photo gear I am hauling around.

Sophia, our eldest, did a super job at walking around a lot and complaining a little - hard to imagine that she is only 4.  If there was fun every now and then, the day was very managable.  Lukas took his breaks sleeping in the stroller (see above) - an extra special treat if you get to carry the thing over all the little bridges in Venice :(

2 Euro for the Gelato - great stuff - reasonably priced also.   Sophia had one every day - who says we are beyond bribery :)

Enjoy
