Slideshow

Whenever we put a slideshow together one of the big decisions is to find music to fit the mood.
This song is beautiful and the family is even more beautiful ;)

Enjoy.

Precious London

One of the great things about photography is that our clients allow us to be creative with the pictures we take. Most have a general idea of what they want (which is a great start) but really appreciate the input we give them.

One of the really great things about photography is when we get the opportunity to take pictures of these wonderful babies :) London is no exception. 3 weeks old at the time she was just a joy. Here she takes a close look at us from the safety of her parents arms. Makes you realize how wonderful babies are and what joy they bring to the people around them.

Comfortable resting after being fed ;)

Enjoy,

Gavyn & Jacob

It was Gavyn's turn to have his one year pictures taken. We met up in Copperas Cove at a park and it was a hot afternoon in Central Texas. Gavyn did a great job and we all had fun - I hope :)

Here he is holding on to a chair which I brought as a prop. His favorite prop, however, turned out to be an crushed up waterbottle - go figure.

Early in the session he was eyeing me a little suspiciously :)

Here is his brother Jacob with his ready smile.

Enjoy.

A Portrait for a Beautiful Lady

Joni asked me to get a headshot for her. Hopefully I have captured what she needed. I think the portraits turned out stunning. On the middle two on the top I could almost mistake her for her daughter!

Thanks, Joni for the opportunity. It was fun

Family of Four

Yesterday Matthias & I headed down to San Marcos to take pictures of a family of four. Two parents & two brothers. We have known Richard, Janet, Andrew, & Aaron for quite some time so we instantly got into the the thick of pictures.

Janet was an excellent client. She had scoped out all these amazingly scenic places to take pictures. We started on this walkway that went to an island in the middle of the river.

In trying to get the boy's attention we asked them where the photographer was. Aaron knew right where to point.

The water was so clear that Richard could see some fish swimming in the river.

After the photos with the whole family we decided to walk on & get some pictures of the boys. Feet pictures are so fun because you can really see the proportion of how small your children really are compared to yourself.

I love this pictures of the two boys. Aaron looks adoringly at his brother as if to ask what do we do next or why are we doing this? These boys were real troppers getting into almost any situation we would ask them to.

Here Andrew "helps" his little brother with throwing sticks & stones into the river. It's starting to get a little dark here, but I still think this photo captures all good things boy.

This is from earlier in the shoot, but I love how it looks they are exploring a forest together. I love the roots coming up out of the ground & how they stay together as real explorers.

This was one of the last photos on our trek. I love the colors in this photos. Andrew is leading Aaron along the path. I can imagine him saying "Come on brother, I'll lead you home."

Thanks guys for a great shoot! We had a lot of fun! Thanks for the ice cream afterwords!

Good Morning....

Matthias & I wanted an early start with this family so we could get the best light. They were up for the challenge. Mom met us in her robe (8:30 on a Sunday morning - we understand), but they were quickly ready for a fun time & smiles! We started out on their playground so the girls could get used to the flash while having a fun time! We captured these two cute pics of the girls showing us their winning smiles.

Here's Beauty showing off her acrobatic skills!

Here's Kayin showing us she can keep up with her big sister on the swing!

Then we headed to the field to get some outdoor morning light! Kayin showed us today she was a Mommy's girl. They make a nice pair, don't you think!

I've seen Beauty around enough to know that she & Dad get along great!

This picture and the next we especially liked! Everyone was looking at the camera, which is what we were after, & the love of this family speaks to me!

These feet were made for walking! Thanks for a great shoot! We enjoyed the relaxed atmosphere & the girls did great!

We'll be there next Sunday to catch some more, hopefully the AC will be working again haha!!!

Cheers,
Stephanie

Miles, Mia, and Marli

You'll recognize these three from the previous shoot. After so many pictures they just were not in the mood for any more so we got together a few weeks later with just them & captured them at their best!

There's something so innocent with such serious faces on children. Reminds me of those old time portraits, but in color of course!

The youngest of the bunch got rid of her pacifier & special medal for a split second to come pose for us. When she saw a little Dora doll I had behind the camera she gave me this winning smile!

The very last pictures of our shoot with the beautiful colors of sunset behind us. Mia wanted a picture with the cat & somehow the cat somewhat posed for us as well. Fun!

Miles, who is becoming a young man, was a great subject! I think this is my favorite shot of the whole shoot with the way the sun shoots in through the picture & the slight smile on his face. I guess I can't say beautiful, since he's a boy, but I think it is.

This was during a sequence where we were trying to get Marli to give us a smile when all she wanted to do was cuddle with Mom. Everyone was trying to pitch in & give some comfort & words that might help the situation. Even though you can't see Mia she is behind leaning in as well. I think this picture captures the essence of how much this family loves & cares for each other.

Thanks for letting us spend a few hours with you all! It was truly an honor & we look forward to capturing more memories as the year goes by.

Thanks to this family for letting us try something patriotic.  Although it didn't turn out exactly like we had planned, we still got some fun, great shots of the them.  We missed their Dad though.  Maybe in September when he comes home for a visit we can try it again!  Thanks, Anitra & kids for all the fun!

The easy to photograph family!!!

This family was so easy! No trying to get them to look at the camera & smile! It was like they were born to smile! I have never seen siblings get along so well. Thanks for letting us take the time to photograph some memorable photos!

We wanted to get some pictures of adults in our portfolio so the pastor & his bride graciously agreed to come be our models. What fun we had! The love they had for each other came shining through! Thanks guys for helping us out!

Two little girls came by to get their photos taken. We had fun with these two easy to "shoot" girls! They were ready with an easy smile & lasted over an hour with a camera in their face. Thanks girls for allowing us take your pictures! You are two of the sweetest girls we know!
